Building Department
The Building Department oversees the permitting and construction of the built environment. The division ensures structures are properly constructed in to ensure the safety, health, habitability buildings where people live and work. The department checks architectural and structural plans for compliance with the International Code, conducts field inspections of all building components, coordinates inspections, and interfaces with building professionals throughout construction and final inspection, ending in building occupancy approval.
